Former Houston Astros slugger Kyle Tucker seems to be the top player on the free-agency market this winter, with reports indicating that his market is heating up. Reports have stated that Tucker was recently seen at the Toronto Blue Jays facility in Florida.

As Tucker gets ready for the remainder of free agency, although a decision might come in the coming days, it remains uncertain exactly what he’s looking for.

Some believe Tucker will be looking for the most money and an opportunity to win.

That’s where the Los Angeles Dodgers could get involved.

Pete Caldera of NJ.com believes that’s what’s going to happen, predicting Tucker to sign with the back-to-back World Series champions.

“The world champs go to the top of the market, filling an outfield need with the talented lefty hitter,” he wrote.

The idea of the Dodgers spending money doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

The LA Times recently put out a piece about the money coming off the Dodgers’ books, and with Clayton Kershaw retiring, plus Michael Conforto, Kirby Yates, and others, who really weren’t key pieces to the Dodgers winning it all this year, coming off the books, they’ll have plenty of flexibility.

“The Dodgers should have plenty of financial flexibility to play with in the coming months, with more than $60 million in salary from last season set to come off the books (resulting from Clayton Kershaw’s retirement, the expiration of contracts for Michael Conforto, Kirby Yates, Michael Kopech and others, and the team’s decision to designate Tony Gonsolin for assignment last week),” Jack Harris wrote.
