Pittsburgh Still Has ZERO Clue If Aaron Rodgers Returns Week 13 – Season Hanging by a Thread

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) and defensive tackle Cameron Heyward (97) leave the field after an NFL International Series game against the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be facing the Buffalo Bills this week, and there is still a question about whether Aaron Rodgers will return after not playing in Week 12. Rodgers is still dealing with the fracture in his left wrist, and though he wanted to play against the Chicago Bears, the team decided to sit him out.

It looks like he has a better chance of playing this week, but the Steelers are still not sure about his status, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

“The Steelers feel better about Aaron Rodgers’ chances of playing this Sunday against the Bills than they did at this time last week about his chances of playing in Chicago,” Graziano wrote. “Talking to people with the Steelers on Saturday and Sunday, I was told the decision about Rodgers playing against the Bears would come down to his own comfort level and whether he felt he could function on the field with that fracture in his left wrist.”

Sort of the same report came from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

“The Steelers are hoping to have an answer on his game status earlier this week than they did last week, when they took the decision up to game day,” Russini wrote.

Head coach Mike Tomlin noted that he expects Rodgers to play this week, but it may still be a wait-and-see type of thing. If Rodgers has anything to do with it, he’s going to play, but the decision will be left up to the staff. Luckily, it’s his non-throwing hand that has the injury, but he still has to be able to protect it when he’s on the field.

The Steelers are currently tied with the Baltimore Ravens in the division, and they’re going to need to go on a run if they want to take control once again. That might mean getting your starting quarterback on the field as soon as possible.
