“🔥 BLOCKBUSTER TRADE ALERT: Braves Could Shake Up Their Roster by Trading Sean Murphy for $325M, 2‑Time World Series MVP, and 3‑Time All‑Star — A Move That Could Completely Transform Atlanta’s Future!”

The Atlanta Braves are in desperate need of a shortstop who can provide a bat in the lineup, not just a solid glove in the field. There are still many options on the table, and one potential move could involve shipping off Sean Murphy, who is already under the microscope.

“Ozzie Albies and Sean Murphy are great examples of players who haven’t lived up to expectations over the last two years and still remained in the lineup. It is easy to see a new manager lacking this same patience with failing pieces. This is especially the case with players who have already been on thin ice for more than two seasons,” ATL All Day’s Nick Halden wrote.

The Braves could very easily make a trade for Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager to fill their shortstop need.

“While he’s going to require shipping off some talent, the Braves should be able to leverage the salary they would be taking on to give up fewer players. They could also leverage assets to get the Rangers to retain some salary to avoid taking on all of it,” SI’s Harrison Smajovitts wrote. “Seager is a two-time World Series MVP, winning his first with the Dodgers in 2020 and his second with the Rangers in 2023.”

On Friday, the Rangers decided to non-tender catcher Jonah Heim, making him a free agent. The move leaves them in need of a catcher, which makes Murphy an appealing trade piece for Seager.

“This could very well open a path for a Sean Murphy trade to the Rangers if the Braves want Seager they needed some money freed up. Very interesting,” Tomahawk Talk Podcast’s Ben Weaver posted.

Acquiring Seager would be a huge addition for the Braves, adding the bat they have desperately been missing for some time. However, injuries have sometimes been a problem for Seager.

The Braves are frustrated with Murphy for hiding his injury all season until it became completely intolerable. If a strong offer comes along to move him, the Braves won’t hesitate.
