BREAKING: Orioles $200 Million Ace Projected To Betray MLB, Join Shohei Ohtani and Dodgers

Directly after the Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2024 World Series, Baltimore Orioles ace and current free agent Corbin Burnes made a very cryptic post on X/Twitter.

Of course, this isn’t Burnes signing his name on the dotted line to send him to Los Angeles, but it at least showed he was interested in the Dodgers. And that alone is enough to send chills through the rest of the league.

FanSided’s Nick Villano predicts the Dodgers to sign Burnes this winter.

Burnes is expected to land a contract well north of $150 million with some projections putting him in the $200 million range.

“The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to get one of the two top pitching options on the market, and Burnes makes a lot of sense for them,” Villano wrote.

“He’s a top pitching prospect who can add to the Dodgers staff, which seemed downright broken at the end of last season.”

Adding Burnes to a rotation that already includes Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto would be downright unfair.

Remember, all three of these pitchers (Ohtani, Glasnow, Yamamoto) missed time last season with Ohtani missing the entire year from pitching.

Signing Burnes would add two Cy Young-caliber pitchers to the team that dominantly won the World Series in 2024. This is a move that Los Angeles needs to pursue as aggressively as possible.

But the rest of the league needs to do anything in their power to make sure it doesn’t happen.

If Burnes lands with the Dodgers, we may be looking at another lopsided postseason run from Dave Roberts’ team.
