Travis Kelce is taking in a little Friday night lights, Kansas style.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight, 36, end was spotted attending a game between Mill Valley High School and St. James Academy on Friday, Nov. 14. The teams were facing off in the quarterfinal round of the Kansas state high school football championships, and according to KSHB 41 reporter Matt Foster, Kelce was attending the game in support of his former teammate and Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman.
Sherman is currently an assistant coach at St. James Academy, Foster shared in a post on X.
Former Chiefs tight end Blake Bell, was also at the game and stood on the sidelines beside Kelce as the teams faced off.
Unfortunately, it was a tough night for Kelce and St. James fans, as the team ultimately fell to Mill Valley 41-38, The Kansas City Star reported.
Kelce, who played at Cleveland Heights High School in Ohio, is clearly a big fan of high school football. In April, the athlete was spotted working out with two high school football players in Georgia during the NFL offseason following the Chiefs’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
“Got some good work in with Travis Kelce this past week,” Jazz Lewis, whose father Jamal Lewis played for the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, wrote on X.
Jazz, a wide receiver at Chamblee High School in Georgia, also said that he “learned a lot from the Super Bowl legend” during their meeting.

It’s been a busy month for Kelce, who was spotted on two consecutive date nights out in New York City with fianceé Taylor Swift during the Chiefs’ bye week. First, the couple headed to The Polo Bar for a cozy dinner date in coordinating dark looks, then hit the private club Zero Bond, where they were photographed holding hands before entering the club.
This weekend, Kelce heads back to work as the Chiefs head to Denver to face the Broncos on Nov. 16.
