The San Francisco 49ers’ schedule hasn’t been as easy as it originally looked to be, but despite a more difficult schedule and a spate of injury problems, the club still finds itself in prime position to secure a playoff spot going into Week 11.
Entering the week the 49ers are 6-4 and on the outside looking in at a playoff spot. They’re the No. 8 seed, just behind the Green Bay Packers (5-3-1) and Chicago Bears (6-3). That could all look much different after the next four games where the relative “ease” many assumed their schedule would have shines through.

Here are the 49ers’ next four games:
-
Week 15 vs. Tennessee Titans (1-8)
While each of those teams present different challenges for the 49ers, they’re all winnable for San Francisco even in their depleted state.
If the 49ers take care of business in those four games, they’ll be sitting at 10-4 going into a tough three-game stretch to close the year against the Indianapolis Colts on the road, and then consecutive home games vs. the Bears and Seattle Seahawks.
The standings may shake out where 10 wins is enough to get into the postseason, but 11 will surely do the trick and getting to that tough final stretch with 10 victories would mean the 49ers need just one of their final three to punch their postseason ticket.

While just making the playoffs hasn’t been the standard for head coach Kyle Shanahan’s group for a half decade, it would be an accomplishment given how rocky the 2025 campaign has been. Their next four games won’t officially make or break their chances, but anything less than 3-1 would put them way behind the curve in their quest to play in January.
