Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman will be remembered by Kansas City Chiefs fans forever but for very different reasons. Love him or hate him, Hill will ultimately go down as one of the best wide receivers in franchise history while Hardman will forever be remembered for catching the game-winning touchdown pass in Super Bowl LVIII, cementing the Chiefs as this decade’s NFL dynasty.

Neither receiver is currently on the Chiefs roster so you might be wondering why we’re talking about them when a big game against the Broncos is coming up. Both guys are in the news after Hardman signed with the Buffalo Bills and Hill responded to that move with the best possible response.

“Man went to the opps” Hill wrote on his X account while reposting the news of his former teammate joining the Bills.

Hill could have meant this to mean a few different things. One could be that he’s currenly a member of the Miami Dolphins and Hardman is now joining his team’s direct division rival. He also could be looking at it from a Chiefs perspective, as K.C. and Buffalo have established quite the rivalry in recent years as well.

Either way, it’s hard to disagree with Hill here. As for Hardman, he’s been trying to find his footing in the NFL outside of Kansas City, something that has proved difficult for him. He tried to make a name for himself with the Jets in 2023 but eventually was traded back to Kansas City where he directly helped the Chiefs win a Super Bowl.

Hardman remained in Kansas City in 2024 but had just 12 catches for 90 yards in 12 games. He signed with the Packers in March, made their practice squad ahead of the reguilar season but was released in September. Now he’s trying to make something of himself with the Bills, who could desperately use receiving help.

It’s doubtful that Hardman does much with the Bills but there’s no debating that Hill’s reaction perfectly reflected how Chiefs fans felt about the move.
