The Green Bay Packers were saddened to learn of the passing of former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue. He was a visionary leader who oversaw tremendous growth and success of the NFL, both on and off the field.
Paul was a great friend and supporter of the Packers, offering his assistance during pivotal moments in our recent history, including our re-introduction of the stock offering after 47 years in 1997 and the redevelopment of Lambeau Field in 2003. He also appreciated the Packers’ place in NFL history, returning to Lambeau Field in 2021 to receive his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring during a halftime ceremony in a game between the Packers and Bears, the NFL’s oldest rivalry.
We extend our sincerest condolences to his wife, Chandler, and the entire Tagliabue family.
