He has once again put himself in the MVP discussion, but it could be a tight race. Seattle Mariners slugger Cal Raleigh is coming off the most impressive season fans have ever seen from a catcher.
The slight edge goes to Raleigh here. However, whether Judge wins the MVP or not, he will be adding another Silver Slugger Award to his shelf.
Aaron Judge ties Yankees’ record for most Silver Slugger Awards with five
On Friday, it was announced that Aaron Judge had captured his fifth Silver Slugger Award. This now ties him alongside Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano, Jorge Posada, and Dave Winfield.
“The superstar slugger had another historic season in 2025, batting .331 with 53 homers, 114 RBIs, and a 1.144 OPS. Judge won his first career batting title and led MLB in all three slash line categories: batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage. He’s won back-to-back Silver Slugger Awards and four in the last five years.”

Judge has been one of the most consistent power hitters over the years, and that should continue in 2026. As always, he will be a player to watch out for next season as the Yankees look to return to the World Series. But the club will certainly have to make some upgrades over the winter if they want to play meaningful baseball in October.
