🚨 BREAKING NEWS: The Green Bay Packers Have Officially Announced a Major Development Involving Matthew Golden — Sources Reveal the Young Receiver Has Impressed Coaches All Week in Practice, Earning a Shot at a Bigger Role in the Offense as Jordan Love Searches for a Reliable Deep Threat. With the Team Facing a Crucial Stretch of Games, Thursday’s Update Could Signal the Start of a New Chapter for Golden’s Career and a Spark for the Packers’ Season.

The Green Bay Packers face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10 on “Monday Night Football.” They’re looking to bounce back after losing to the Carolina Panthers 16-13 at Lambeau Field.

Against the Panthers, several offensive weapons sustained injuries, including wide receiver Matthew Golden. He was removed with a shoulder injury and later ruled out. He ended the game with just three targets, two catches and nine yards.

At 5-2-1, the Packers hold first place in the NFC North. Going up against the Eagles (6-2), though, may have serious playoff seeding implications, as Philadelphia currently holds the NFC’s No. 1 spot.

Green Bay has already lost tight end Tucker Kraft after tearing his ACL against the Panthers. A long-term injury to Golden would mean quarterback Jordan Love is down another offensive threat.

Luckily, though, according to USA Today’s Ryan Wood, head coach Matt LaFleur announced Golden would participate in Thursday’s practice on a limited basis. It’s the team’s first practice of the week since they don’t play until Monday.

“Matt LaFleur says #Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) will be limited in practice,” Wood wrote. “He says it’s unfortunate Golden had to drop out Sunday, but offense is going to keep finding ways to get him the football to make more plays.”

Despite selecting him with the No. 23 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Golden’s production has been limited. He’s appeared in all eight games with 23 receptions, 262 yards and zero touchdowns. Through the past two games, he’s had just five receptions for 13 yards.

Quarterback Jordan Love acknowledged his limited usage, saying “I think it’s just early. We haven’t found ways to get him the ball as much. Some of that is on me trying to find ways to get him the ball, some of it is just on the plays,” during an Oct. 28 appearance on “The Up & Adams Show.”

However, the Eagles haven’t necessarily shut down opposing passing attacks, ranking 17th in passing yards per game allowed (215.9). It’s an area the Packers can attack and even get Golden more involved.

Kickoff is 8:15 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field, airing on ABC and ESPN.
