The Green Bay Packers suffered a disappointing 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 9, a result that not only hurt their momentum but also cost them a key player. The Packers’ offense failed to capitalize on red-zone chances, converting just one of five opportunities, while quarterback Jordan Love went 26-of-37 for 273 yards with an interception and no touchdowns.
But the bigger blow came in the third quarter when tight end Tucker Kraft went down with a non-contact knee injury and was carted off the field. Kraft entered the game as Green Bay’s leading receiver by yards with 30 catches for 469 yards and six touchdowns. He added two receptions for 20 yards before being carted off.

MRI results later confirmed a torn ACL, ruling Tucker out for the remainder of the 2025 season, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“It is, in fact, a torn ACL. Kraft is out for the season,” Rapoport wrote.
Kraft’s injury drew reactions from across the NFL, including Packers linebacker Micah Parsons, who posted a photo of the two together on his Instagram stories shortly after reports of the torn ACL surfaced, accompanied by several sad emojis.
Drafted by the Packers in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Kraft had emerged as one of Green Bay’s most consistent offensive weapons this season. Aside from leading the Packers in receiving yards, he is also second in targets (44) and receptions (32).

Kraft’s absence now leaves a major void in Green Bay’s passing attack and adds pressure on second-year tight end Luke Musgrave to take on a larger role. The Packers, already struggling for offensive rhythm, must quickly adapt their play-calling and find new red-zone solutions to stay competitive in the NFC playoff picture.
Green Bay, now 5-2-1, will welcome the Philadelphia Eagles on “Monday Night Football” in Week 10, hoping to avoid a second straight loss. Philadelphia (6-2) is coming off a bye and will look to make a statement against a potential playoff opponent.
