Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft will miss the remainder of the 2025 season after he suffered a torn ACL in a 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, according to NFL.com.
Kraft was injured when he collided with Packers guard Sean Rhyan while blocking during a run play early in the third quarter. His season-ending injury occurred one day before his 25th birthday Monday.
Kraft, in his third NFL season, all with Green Bay, was in the midst of his best season as a pro and the best for a tight end in Packers history.
Through eight of the Packers’ 17 games, Kraft made 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns. He was on pace for 73 catches, 1,139 yards and 14 touchdowns, all of which would be new single-season records for Green Bay tight ends, according to Packers.com.
“It’s going to be tough, but you’ve got to attack it head on,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Sunday about Kraft’s injury. “We’ve got to do a great job of putting our guys in good positions to showcase what they can do.”
Packers quarterback Jordan Love also sent well wishes to Kraft when speaking to media after Sunday’s game.
“Any time it’s a knee injury, it’s hard not to think of the worst-case scenario,” Love said. “It’s tough to see anybody get injured. It was tough to see Tuck injured on the ground, but you’re praying for him [and] hoping for the best. … It’s football. It’s a violent game, a lot of injuries happen and you just hate to see it.”
