The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the most dynamic offensive teams over the last month and getting back wide receiver Rashee Rice from suspension certainly helped them out. While the team is flying around through the air with quarterback Patrick Mahomes looking like an NFL MVP candidate, there is some room for improvement.
One NFL writer made a bold prediction for the Kansas City Chiefs heading into Tuesday’s trade deadline. Let’s take a closer look at who said it and what they have predicted.
Breece Hall to the Kansas City Chiefs?

NFL writer Brad Gagnon has posted his bold predictions ahead of the 2025 trade deadline and added the Chiefs trading a late-round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for running back Breece Hall.
“Hall is a pending free agent and the Jets probably have bigger fish to fry this offseason, while the Chiefs are not getting as much as they’d probably like out of their offensive backfield.”
Hall has been one of the top running backs this season as the 24-year-old has 117 rushing attempts for 581 yards (5.0 yards per carry) with a pair of rushing touchdowns as well as 21 receptions for 178 yards (8.5 yards per catch). He has committed one fumble and it was recovered by the defense.
This move would be massive for the Kansas City Chiefs as the offensive line has improved this season as they have played well and still are waiting for rookie Josh Simmons to return from his hiatus. Adding him as a solid running back to the Chiefs who are ninth in rushing this season would help create another threat the defense would need to focus on.
It will be intriguing to see if the Chiefs are able to add a significant talent to the team ahead of the deadline and make the team even better.
