Packers Announce Micah Parsons News on Thursday

Micah Parsons’ journey with the Green Bay Packers has been an eventful one. After he spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, he and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had a contract dispute, leading to him being traded to Green Bay ahead of the 2025 season.

In his career, Parsons has accumulated 273 total tackles, 69 tackles for loss, 59 sacks and nine forced fumbles. These incredible numbers have led to four Pro Bowl selections, two First-Team All-Pro honors and an AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award after the 2021 season.

Since joining the Packers, Parsons has been his normal, havoc-wreaking self, totaling 17 tackles with 14 quarterback hits and 6.5 sacks in seven games played.

He has helped lead the Packers to a 5-1-1 record, which is the second-best mark in the NFL and the best in the NFC.

Parsons and Green Bay are coming off a 35-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, in which the 26-year-old linebacker had one sack.

On Thursday, the Packers announced some exciting news surrounding the All-Pro defender.

Green Bay announced on the team’s X account that Parsons won the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award for October. This is the second time he has been given this honor, with the other coming in September 2023 when he was with the Cowboys.

“You know that’s right. Micah Parsons is the NFC Defensive Player of the Month!” the caption read.

In three games during October against the Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals and the Steelers, Parsons totaled nine tackles, five tackles for loss and four sacks.
