Packers injury report: Two ruled out, five questionable vs. Steelers

According to the team’s final injury report before facing the Steelers, defensive end Lukas Van Ness (foot) and wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) are ruled out.

Defensive tackle Warren Brinson (hamstring), wide receiver Matthew Golden (hip), kicker Brandon McManus (right quad), wide receiver Christian Watson (PUP/knee) and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (knee) are questionable to play.

Brinson and Golden did not appear on the injury report until Oct. 24.

Devonte Wyatt injury update

The defensive tackle made it through the full padded practice Oct. 23 and was present and participating Oct. 24, a promising sign he’ll be available to play this weekend.

He’s missed the last two games with a knee injury.

“He’s looked pretty good,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said on Wyatt’s progress this week. “A lot of it is going to be how he responds (Oct. 24) and to Sunday before we make a decision.”

Brandon McManus injury update

The Packers kicker participated and handled kicking duties during the Oct. 23 practice and was present Oct. 24.

McManus was ruled out the last two games after injuring his quad in practice.

“He kicked well. I had my conversation with him this morning. He said he feels great,” LaFleur said. “That’ll be a medical decision at the end of the day.”

Lukas Van Ness injury update

The Packers defensive end missed practice all week, making him unlikely to play against the Steelers.

He dropped out of the Week 6 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a foot injury. He was ruled out of the Arizona Cardinals game last week.

Dontavion Wicks injury update

The Packers receiver left the team’s last game against the Cardinals with a calf injury.

He missed all week of practice, and LaFleur said it’s unlikely he’ll play this weekend.

Christian Watson injury update

The Packers receiver marked his 10th practice of the season Oct. 24 and could make his season debut this weekend.

“Let’s just get through the week and see where he’s at,” LaFleur said during his Oct. 24 pre-practice news conference.

“I think a lot of it is just getting reacclimated. You’re talking about a long layoff without football. Just trying to build him up so that he can handle the demands of what are going to be placed upon him on game day.”
