The Dallas Cowboys could look to bolster their pass rush with a trade.

The Dallas Cowboys continue to be one of the teams most frequently mentioned in NFL trade rumors ahead of the deadline. Part of the reason for this is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and company continuing to stir the pot by claiming the team is open for business.

It remains to be seen just how aggressive the Cowboys will be ahead of the NFL trade deadline on November 4, 2025. Following the Cowboys’ blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers for Micah Parsons, Dallas is now armed with future draft picks the team could use to bolster their roster via another deal.

The Cowboys are still searching for ways to replace Parsons’ production on the defensive line. USA Today’s Angel Torres floated a few potential trade proposals that helps Dallas improve their pass rushing.

Star defender Jeffrey Simmons would likely not mind playing for the Cowboys over the one-win Tennessee Titans. Let’s dive into what a potential trade between the Cowboys and Titans could look like.

Cowboys Rumors: Could Dallas Make a Push to Trade for Titans Star Jeffrey Simmons?

What would it cost Dallas to pry Simmons out of Nashville? USA Today’s trade pitch has the Cowboys landing Simmons in exchange for a 2026 first rounder and a 2027 third-round selection.

The Titans have already stated that they are willing to trade anyone on their roster not named Cam Ward or Jeffery Simmons,” Torres wrote in an October 21, 2025, story titled, “5 big-name defenders Cowboys could try to trade for include All-Pro DE, DTs, LB, Safety.” “For a franchise who just fired their head coach before he could finish his second season, that statement should be tested.

“Simmons is a stout blue-chip interior talent who like the other premier interior defensive lineman are wasting prime years on a perennial losing ball club with no sense of direction.”

Titans Star Jeffrey Simmons Is on a 4-Year, $94 Million Contract

Simmons’ four-year, $94 million contract is slated to go through the 2027 season. It is not exactly a bargain contract, but it is cheaper than Parsons’ four-year, $186 million extension the pass rusher signed with the Packers following the blockbuster trade.

The 3-time Pro Bowler has been highly productive for the Titans. Through his first seven starts in 2025, Simmons has notched 30 tackles, 11 quarterback hits, eight tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones on Trades: Dallas Is Looking for ‘a Front-line Guy Who’d Make a Difference’

Time will tell if the Cowboys will use these extra draft picks to land a veteran. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones told Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein that the team is looking for “a front-line guy who’d make a difference.”

“With the way this league is, I mean, there’s only two teams with one loss and one of ’em has a loss and a tie,” Jones noted in the October 23, interview. “And so, everybody’s going to think they’re in it. So if you’re in it, you don’t just want to move on from a guy like you’re saying, ‘Hey, I’m going to trade a few guys off, take picks and get ready for next year.’

“You don’t find many teams like that. And we don’t really feel like we need down-the-line guys. We need a guy who’d be a front-line guy who’d make a difference. There’s a lot of things we’re going to watch. The right deal comes up, we’ll look at it.”
