Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love revealed on Wednesday that Aaron Rodgers texted him recently.
Love and the Packers face Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers this week on Sunday Night Football.
It’s the first time Rodgers will play his former team since Green Bay traded the future Hall of Famer to the New York Jets in 2023.

“A-Rod texted me and was talking about some of the plays we’d run and some of my footwork, things like that, complimenting me,” Love said. “So obviously it’s great to be able to hear from him.
“I’ve got so much respect for him, and anytime he gives me pointers, stuff like that, obviously you want to get feedback from a legend like that.”
The Packers drafted Love in 2020. Rodgers won back-to-back MVPs in 2020 and 2021.
“He’s a great kid, man,” Rodgers said about Love while speaking to Steelers reporters on Wednesday. “He really is. I enjoyed my time with him. I’m not surprised by how he’s playing. He’s playing great. His progression was like mine, kind of where you just kind of, first year, you’re getting your feet wet.

“Second year, you feel a little bit more confident. By the time the third year comes around, you’re ready to play.”
Love and the Packers are 4-1-1 on the season, while Rodgers and the Steelers are 4-2.
Love has 1,438 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns and only two interceptions this season. The 26-year-old is completing 69.3% of his passes for the Packers, who are in first place in the NFC North.
Meanwhile, Rodgers has 1,270 passing yards, 14 passing touchdowns and five interceptions on the season. The four-time MVP is completing 68.6% of his passes for the Steelers, who are in first place in the AFC North.

Rodgers and Brett Favre led the Packers to the promised land, so Love is under pressure to win at least one Super Bowl in Green Bay.
It will be fascinating to see who wins on Sunday between the Packers and Steelers. Rodgers has been downplaying the game, but you know deep down he really wants to beat his former team on national television.
