The Green Bay Packers are on a streak after escaping Glendale with a close win over the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.
The 27-23 victory over Jacoby Brissett and the Cards gave Green Bay its fourth win of the season and second in a row.
With the Packers gaining steam again, they will be looking to keep their momentum going as they head to a highly anticipated showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 8.
For one, that game will have the Packers sharing the field with a franchise icon in Aaron Rodgers, who played 18 seasons with Green Bay and is in his first season with the Steelers.
LaFleur comments on the Week 8 Packers game against Rodgers, Steelers

Amid the hype surrounding the upcoming game against the Steelers, LaFleur’s main focus is on helping Green Bay score another win, as the team looks to stay atop the NFC North division, especially with the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears winning their respective outings in Week 7. That’s not to mention the Minnesota Vikings, who are at the bottom of the division’s standings but are at .500 with a 3-3 record.
“We’re playing the Pittsburgh Steelers, who happen to have Aaron Rodgers. It’s as simple as that,” LaFleur said Monday, per Zach Kruse of Packers Wire.
“That’s for you guys to talk about. Granted, we’ve got a lot of love and respect for Aaron. What he’s done here, he’s a Hall of Famer. Our past together, we had a lot of great moments. But this game is not about that, it’s about going to Pittsburgh, Sunday Night Football, our guys will jacked up, their guys will be jacked up. It’s about the Green Bay Packers versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s for you guys to talk about the other storylines.”
