
James Tibbs III, the top prospect acquired from the Giants in the Rafael Devers trade on June 15, spent fewer than seven weeks in the Red Sox organization.
Boston traded Tibbs to the Dodgers at the July 31 deadline for starting pitcher Dustin May.
The Red Sox dealt three prospects at the deadline.
They also sent 22-year-old outfielder Zach Ehrhard to the Dodgers with Tibbs.
Boston traded 22-year-old corner infielder Blaze Jordan to the St. Louis Cardinals for reliever Steven Matz on July 31.
Below is a look at how each prospect performed with his new team:
James Tibbs III
Tibbs batted .269 with a .407 on-base percentage, .493 slugging percentage and .900 OPS in 36 games (168 plate appearances) for Double-A Tulsa. He had seven home runs, five doubles, two triples, 32 RBIs, 25 runs, 29 walks and 36 strikeouts.
The 23-year-old corner outfielder and first baseman struggled in his short time in the Red Sox organization. He batted just .207 with a .319 on-base percentage, .267 slugging percentage and .586 OPS in 30 games for Double-A Portland. He had just four extra-base hits (two doubles, one triple, one homer) in 138 plate appearances.
May, who Boston acquired in the deal, struggled. He posted a 5.40 ERA in six outings (five starts) for the Red Sox before landing on the IL on Sept. 9 due to right elbow neuritis.
Blaze Jordan
The 22-year-old corner infielder went just 34-for-172 (.198 batting average) with a .242 on-base percentage, .366 slugging percentage and .608 OPS in 41 games for Triple-A Memphis. He hit seven home runs, six doubles and one triple while adding 37 RBIs, 21 runs, 10 walks and 22 strikeouts.
Jordan began the season at Double-A Portland where he batted .320 with a .415 on-base percentage, .513 slugging percentage and .928 OPS in 44 games (176 plate appearances). He then slashed .298/.341/.480/.820 in 44 games (182 plate appearances) for Triple-A Worcester before being traded.
Matz, who is eligible for free agency this offseason, allowed five earned runs in 21 ⅔ innings (2.08 ERA) over 21 outings for Boston.
Zach Ehrhard
Ehrhard reported with Tibbs to Double-A Tulsa where he batted .282 with a .391 on-base percentage, .466 slugging percentage and .857 OPS in 34 games (161 plate appearances). He hit five home runs, seven doubles and one triple while adding 20 RBIs, 32 runs, 21 walks and 21 strikeouts. He also was successful in 14 of 15 stolen base attempts.
