Cowboys Announce Final Decision on CeeDee Lamb Return

The Dallas Cowboys have made their final decision on whether CeeDee Lamb will finally return to the field against the Washington Commanders.

The Dallas Cowboys are 2-3-1 heading into their game on Sunday, October 19, against the Washington Commanders at home, and they could sure use a win at this point in the season. As it stands, the Cowboys are No. 3 in the NFC East, and the Commanders are No. 2, so a win over Washington would really help the team bring their average up.

Unlike last season, the Cowboys have their franchise quarterback, Dak Prescott, back in the fold. He’s playing well this season and is topping plenty of best-of quarterback tallies, “If it weren’t for Dallas’ persistent defensive woes, Prescott might be drawing real awards buzz,” Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports notes in a Wednesday, October 15, feature about the best quarterbacks in the league. “He’s been without CeeDee Lamb and a fully healthy front, but his chemistry with George Pickens has helped the ‘Boys light up scoreboards.”

It’s funny that Benjamin should mention Lamb, because the Cowboys just made a major announcement about the star wide receiver. Will he be back on the field soon?

Official CeeDee Lamb News Finally Comes In

Lamb was expected to return to the field for Sunday’s game against the Commanders, but nothing was official about it. Until now, that is. On Friday, October 17, Lamb officially had no injury designation for the Washington game, meaning he’s ready to play.

“Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was a full participant in practice today, is officially off the injury report and will return Sunday vs. Washington,” Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network stated on Friday in a post on X.

“CeeDee Lamb, Tyler Booker and KaVontae Turpin have no injury designation for Sunday’s game against Washington. They’re full go,” added Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas News. Calvin Watkins of the Dallas News also shared the official Friday practice reports on X.

So, those who follow the Dallas Cowboys will see a familiar face on Sunday with Lamb back on the field. It couldn’t happen soon enough.

Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott Talks CeeDee Lamb

On Thursday, October 16, Prescott opened up about what it would be like to have Lamb back. He was obviously excited. A lot of excitement,” Prescott said about Lamb coming back, according to ESPN. “Just the last two days of practice, he looks good. He’s ready to go. Obviously, I saw him last weekend during rehab, and he probably could’ve went then. Being careful. But he’s ready to go. Looks great. It’s going to be fun.”

That’s not why I’m hungry,” Lamb added. “Why I’m hungry is me missing time and doing what I love and playing with the guys that I love and breaking the huddle and being able to just go out there and be me.”

Precott also gushed over George Pickens, who picked up a lot of the slack for Lamb being gone. He said that having Lamb and Pickens on the field will be great, noting, “having the ability to have two guys like that and just put them wherever we feel each and every play, it’s only going to be beneficial to us.”

So, the Cowboys are ready for the challenge again, and now, they’re healthy again.
