DALLAS ERUPTION: CeeDee Lamb’s words echo loud after George Pickens’ breakout shocks the Cowboys — whispers of rivalry, redemption, and a fire that’s been quietly burning beneath the surface — now everyone’s wondering if Lamb saw this coming all along..ll

CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens Ready to Lead Cowboys' Aerial Attack in 2025 - D210SPORTS

Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens has played like a true No. 1 receiver in CeeDee Lamb’s absence, posting totals of 134, 57, and 168 yards.

And now that Lamb is expected to be back in Week 7 against the Washington Commanders, the dynamic duo will hit the field together once again, which is a massive boost to Brian Schottenheimer’s offense.

When the trade for Pickens was made, many were skeptical about whether the pair could co-exist on the field, given both are considered top receivers, and when asked about George’s form, CeeDee made a point to tell reporters a case of “I told you so” when it comes to Pickens being seen as a No. 1.

“I gave y’all a warning,” Lamb said. “I want to say I was at K1 softball [in the offseason] and I was like, you got two ones. I don’t think everybody really believed me until one of us went down, and then you saw. So, it’s like a prove me right and prove everybody else wrong about who he is, his humility, and the presence he bring to this team and to this game.

“He’s a dominant receiver, we all know that, and he’s a very exciting player.”

Cowboys facing crucial Commanders clash

Given the state of the NFC East, the Cowboys, with a win over Washington, have the chance to move into second place, behind the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dallas had a chance to close the gap last week against the Carolina Panthers, but failed to take advantage, the same can’t happen here, plus it would be nice to have the tie-breaker over the Commanders as well.

With Lamb returning home and Washington potentially without Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel, the Cowboys have an opportunity to take advantage.

With Lamb and Pickens set to terrorize the Commanders’ defense, it might be up to Dallas’ defense to get one stop, just one, to move to 3-3-1 and to be in the mix for the division after an up-and-down start to the year.
