After using their 2025 first-round pick on stud Texas Longhorns standout Matthew Golden, the Packers have seven receivers age 26 or younger — a group that also includes Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Dontayvion Wicks.

Watson and Reed are currently on injured reserve, but Doubs, Golden and Wicks are carrying the load for Green Bay’s WR corps in addition to the boost they’ve been given by tight end Tucker Kraft (18 catches, 268 yards, three touchdowns) and running back Josh Jacobs (15 catches, 176 yards).
With Watson rumored to be returning for Green Bay’s Week 7 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, and Reed likely returning in mid-November (likely around Week 10), the Packers might consider trading someone to prevent a logjam at the position.

And according to 247Sports’ Easton Butler, the team has already been fielding plenty of calls about three of its WRs, with one being highly coveted by several teams.
“The Giants have called the Packers about WRs Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks recently,” Butler reported. “Also several other teams about their WRs, including Washington for McLaurin and the Dolphins for Waddle.”
In a follow-up tweet, Butler confirmed that Doubs has generated the most interest of the trio, stating: “Well, they’re not the only ones to call about Doubs. At least 5 teams have over the last 2 weeks I’m told.”
Doubs is the Packers’ second-leading receiver behind Kraft. He’s logged 18 catches on 28 targets for 234 yards and a team-leading four touchdowns.
The 25-year-old wideout has been rumored to be on the trade block before, and with some of the reported tension between him and the Packers over the last calendar year, it could make sense for Green Bay to move him for draft capital and pave the way for Watson and Golden to take on larger roles.
