🚨PHILLY POWER PLAY: Phillies Projected to Pull Off a Shocking Free Agency Move, Front Office Plotting Something Big, and Rivals Are Suddenly on High Alert..ll

Phillies free agents 2026. Who could leave the team after playoff disappointment? - Yahoo Sports

Once again, the Philadelphia Phillies suffered heartbreak during the MLB postseason. Despite an attempt to come back from a 2-0 series deficit against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS, the Phillies saw a game-losing error cost them their season.

Unfortunately, the lack of postseason success has reared its ugly head again in Philadelphia.

Heading into the offseason, there are a lot of questions surrounding the Phillies. Will Kyle Schwarber be back and what does the future have in store for Ranger Suarez? Those are just two of the questions the front office will need to answer.

Also, it’s clear that Philadelphia needs to improve its roster. How does that get accomplished?

A new projection has shed some light on one possible scenario the Phillies could pursue for improvement.

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley has come through with a monster prediction for the franchise. He has predicted that Philadelphia will end up signing superstar outfielder Kyle Tucker to a huge 10-year, $400 million contract.

“The Mets might prefer to spend their money elsewhere, though. Tucker’s list of landing spots is a lengthy one, but our crystal ball sees the Philadelphia Phillies making an aggressive splash signing to extend their championship window,” Buckley wrote.

Tucker is coming off of an up-and-down 2025 season with the Chicago Cubs. He dealt with multiple injuries and was not nearly as productive as the Cubs had hoped for from him. In the postseason, he was barely able to make an impact.

While there is a chance that his free agency value could have been hurt by his down season, the likelihood is that someone will give him the $400 million deal that Buckley has predicted.

Throughout the course of the 2025 campaign, Tucker hit 22 home runs to go along with 73 RBI. He ended the year with a slash line of .266/.377/.464.

Adding the kind of offensive firepower that Tucker can bring to a lineup would be a big step in the right direction for the Phillies. They will be facing a lot of competition for his services, but Tucker would have to be interested in Philadelphia.

Obviously, it’s just a prediction at this point in time, but it’s a scenario worth keeping a close eye on as the offseason approaches and gets underway.
