Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan was the first head coach to be fired this season, but likely won’t be the last in the weeks ahead, across the NFL.
As the Miami Dolphins’ season continues to tailspin, and even quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has called out the coaching staff and leaders on the team, Mike McDaniel’s days and hours could be numbered in Miami Gardens.
Could the Packers lose defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley?

Following a stellar first season as Packers defensive coordinator that saw takeaways and an aggressive pass rush become the bedrock of Green Bay’s defense, Jeff Hafley’s name quickly became a popular one as a potential next head coach across the league.
With the Dolphins’ job potentially coming open, there is some speculation that Hafley could be a top target.
“Hafley will be on a lot of coach-needy teams’ lists,” Vinnie Iyer writes for The Sporting News. “With his work to develop the Green Bay defense into dominance the past two years, with Micah Parsons serving as the cherry on top this season,” Iyer wrote. “He also has the strong head coaching experience of leading Boston College for four seasons before his NFL stint. He would be a good pivot from McDaniel to get the defense back on track while the offense goes through a big transition.”

Despite the Packers’ pass rush’s regression over the past several weeks, Green Bay is currently the NFL’s No. 4 rated total defense, which is going to bolster Hafley’s candidacy.
If the Packers make a deep postseason run, expect Hafley’s phone to ring and for it to become even more difficult for Matt LaFleur and Green Bay to keep him, after he already garnered interest last offseason.
