NEED TO KNOW
- Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole endorsed artists releasing diss tracks
- The comments came amid Taylor Swift’s album release for The Life of a Showgirl
- Fans have speculated that several of Swift’s lyrics have referenced Nicole’s past romance with Kelce
Kayla Nicole approves of a diss track. In fact, she encourages it.
The influencer and podcast host, who previously dated Taylor Swift’s fiancé Travis Kelce, opened up on the Friday, Oct. 10 episode of her The Pre-Game with Kayla Nicole podcast about diss tracks.
While discussing the online feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, saying “the rap girlies are beefing,” Nicole, 33, added, “Y’all gotta shut up and get in the booth. They gotta shut up and get in the booth. I can’t take this era of typing dissertations on Twitter. You said that you were in your bed last night reading it like a book. It’s truly too much.”
She went on to further drive home her suggestion that the two artists work out their drama in a song, adding, “Take all those tweets into the studio with you, read them off over a track.”

And while Nicole agreed that insulting children should be off limits, she added, “I also felt like Cardi shouldn’t have stooped to her level and played tit for tat unless she was gonna do it in the booth.”
The influencer called the exchange “cyber bullying,” adding, “I didn’t like it. I’m not into it.”
The comments come at an interesting time for Nicole as Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl was released on Oct. 3, with multiple songs referencing her romance with Kelce, 36, and several listeners speculating that some lyrics reference his past relationship with Nicole.
In the upbeat track “Opalite,” Swift, 35, sings, “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone and you were just a post / And don’t we try to love love? We give it all we got / You finally left the table, and what a simple thought / You’re starving ’til you’re not.”
Kelce and Nicole dated for approximately five years starting in 2017. He later started his romance with Swift in 2023 before the couple announced their engagement in August.
In a post on her Instagram Stories on the day of The Life of a Showgirl’s release, Nicole shared a clip from an episode of America’s Next Top Model, in which contestant Eva Marcille was asked by Tyra Banks, “How do you compare yourself to the other girls out there?” and responded, “I don’t compare myself to other girls … I’m no comparison to anyone else.”
In September Nicole told PEOPLE that the biggest lesson she had learned in 2025 was that “the opinions of others are only as big as you make them.”
“So if I don’t allow it to affect me, it simply won’t,” Nicole added. “You know what I mean? Sometimes on social media, we think that it’s the whole world, and it’s really not.”
