New York Yankees fans are officially done with Aaron Boone, but is the franchise?
The Yankees lost to the Blue Jays, 5-2, in Game 4 of the American League Division Series on Wednesday night. New York, trailing 2-1 heading into Game 4, has officially been eliminated from the postseason. The Yankees have wasted another year of Aaron Judge’s prime. The slugging right fielder is expected to win his third American League MVP award later this year.

While there’s a lot of blame to go around in New York, Yankees fans can agree that they are done with their manager, Aaron Boone.
Boone, who has served as the manager of the New York Yankees since 2018, has led the franchise to seven postseason appearances. The Yankees made the World Series last year, losing to the Dodgers.
But the Yankees, who last won a World Series in 2009, are hunting championships. Yankees fans are ready for Boone to be gone.

‘Fire Boone’ chants emerge after Game 4 loss
“The Yankees haven’t won a World Series in 16 years. Brian Cashman has wasted the prime of Aaron Judge, yet has a lifetime contract. Aaron Boone is a bottom tier manager, managing the most decorated team in North American sports history. Fire these losers. Fire them all,” one fan wrote.
“It was a lackluster season. I’ll always remember how bad we were in June. I’ll remember every bad Aaron Boone decision. I’ll remember every bubble Aaron Boone blew. Fire Aaron Boone,” one fan added.

“Well, now that that’s over… FIRE AARON BOONE. NOW,” one fan added.
“BOONE MUST BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY… I’m talking about by like tnite & we should wake up to the news!” another fan wrote.
“You have to fire Aaron Boone man you just have to,” one fan added.
MLB insider Ken Rosenthal suggested on his “Foul Territory” podcast that a move on Boone could happen if the Yankees lose early in the postseason. A loss in the ALDS is certainly considered early in New York.

“More likely, they could get knocked out early. That’s certainly a scenario we can envision happening. Does Aaron Boone come back? Does Brian Cashman come back, or do they finally turn the page? All of this seemingly is in play,” Rosenthal said.
Now that the Yankees have been eliminated, the clock is ticking in New York.
