The Green Bay Packers have a plethora of weapons in their receiving corps. They used a first-round pick on Matthew Golden out of Texas and also have Romeo Doubs to round out a solid 1-2 tandem.

However, Green Bay lost Christian Watson to a torn ACL in last year’s season finale. He began the season on the physically unable to perform list (PUP), but this week at Packers practice, there were some encouraging signs that his return may be soon.

Packers’ Christian Watson seen at practice working on drills

This week at Packers practice, Christian Watson was seen practicing for the first time since his ACL tear.

The signs of him practicing open the window for him to return from IR, but Green Bay will likely take its time and make sure that he is at full health before his return. However, this is big news for the Packers and Jordan Love.

Watson has become the premier deep threat for the Packers’ offense in the last two seasons. In 2024, he hauled in 29 receptions for 620 yards and two touchdowns.

That’s 21.4 yards/reception. After tying with the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night, the Packers were on a bye week this week, and will now take on the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, with hopes to improve to 3-1-1.

There will certainly be more details to come surrounding Watson and his official return timeline in the coming weeks.
