The vibes are high for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys notched a comfortable victory against the New York Jets in Week 5, and the locker room appeared ecstatic after the win. Dallas’ social media account posted a video of Brian Schottenheimer addressing the Cowboys players in the locker room after the win.

Schottenheimer read off some of the major accomplishments of players during the Cowboys’ win over the Jets. Players responded in unison with a “hey” after each stat. The Cowboys vibes appear to be high heading into Week 6.

“Hey, we got a lot of things to celebrate, okay,” Schottenheimer said in the October 5, 2025, locker room speech. “So when I call out all the stats, okay, we know what it is. It’s ‘hey.’ So here we go.”

Cowboys Fans Are Loving the Vibes of HC Brian Schottenheimer

There appears to be a noticeable difference between the vibes under Mike McCarthy, and the culture Schottenheimer is creating in Big D. Even though Schottenheimer was on McCarthy’s staff, the Cowboys head coach appears to be projecting a much higher energy to the team.

“You can tell Schotty grew up in locker rooms lol!” one fan noted. “He has them fired up!!!”

“I’m loving him as a coach,” said another. “Defense needs a revamp in the offseason but feels like these guys play for this guy.”

“Love the culture coach schotty made man i could cry😭,” one fan added.

“Love the energy,” said one person.

“Shotty got our Boyz locked in🔥,” added another.

Dak Prescott on Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer: ‘If You Want to See Somebody Who Is Enjoying the Moment, It’s Schotty’

One player who has made no secret in backing Schottenheimer is Dak Prescott. The Cowboys quarterback is familiar with the veteran coach given Schottenheimer was previously the team’s offensive coordinator.

“He’s a stand up guy who approaches each day the same, true to who he is,” Prescott said after the Cowboys’ win over the Jets, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “Win, loss, draw, whatever it may be, you’re gonna get the same Schotty. And I think that’s something that makes it easy to follow and allow the guys to respect. Something just as a play caller and from our relationship that I appreciate is a guy who takes heavy accountability.

“… Just incredible the way he approaches this game each and every day. When you get to Sundays, or whatever the game day is, he talks about playing free and being loose,” Prescott added.

“He’s the epitome of that. If you want to see somebody who is enjoying the moment, it’s Schotty.”

The Cowboys Are 3.5-Point Favorites vs. Panthers in the NFL Odds for Week 6

Schottenheimer’s hire was not exactly met with wide excitement by Cowboys fans. Part of the challenge is Schottenheimer was associated with McCarthy given he was on the same staff that had little postseason success.

The Cowboys take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. Dallas opens as a 3.5-point favorite versus Carolina, per DraftKings.
