Cowboys vs. Jets predictions: NFL experts weigh in on Dallas-New York Week 5 contest originally appeared on The Sporting News

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets will square off at MetLife Stadium on Sunday in Week 5 after disappointing results for both teams last week.

The Cowboys did do much better than expected against the Green Bay Packers in Week 4, but ultimately a 40-40 tie wasn’t what Dallas and Jerry Jones wanted. The Cowboys now sit with a 1-2-1 record but can get back to .500 this week.

The Jets are flailing through four games, as expected. New York has yet to win a game for head coach Aaron Glenn after falling to the Miami Dolphins last week during what was a sloppy, mistake-filled performance for New York.

Things are already starting to boil over in New York, as head coach Aaron Glenn was reportedly screaming at his team so loud in the locker room after the loss he could be heard in the press room.

While the Jets are reeling, nothing is a guarantee for this Cowboys team. Let’s see who the majority of experts are picking to win this contest.

Iyer: “Dak Prescott is rolling in Brian Schottenheimer’s sizzling system and the Jets’ defense is even more dysfunctional than Dallas’. The Jets have the weapons around Justin Fields to keep it interesting for a while, until too many big plays are yielded to Prescott.”
