💥 COWBOYS TRADE BUZZ: Blockbuster Proposal Lands $54 Million Pro Bowler in Dallas — Could This Be the Move That Changes Everything?..ll

Cowboys Trade Proposal Brings in $54 Million Pro Bowler

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys weren’t interested in Cooper Kupp after hearing the price.

The Miami Dolphins, if they didn’t want to sell, got a much-needed win on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets. While the Dolphins are 1-3 and haven’t played well, there have been some moments when they look to be a decent team.

However, given the Dolphins aren’t in a position to contend and might sell at the deadline, trading players could make sense. If or when that happens, the Dallas Cowboys could benefit from it.

Sports Illustrated’s Matt Verderame proposed a deal between the Dolphins and Cowboys, which would send edge Bradley Chubb to Dallas for a conditional fifth-round pick.

“The Cowboys’ offense has been good enough to keep this team competitive despite the horrendous defensive performances. Next to tying the Packers, it would be a monumental achievement for team owner Jerry Jones if his team advances to the postseason months after trading Micah Parsons to Green Bay.

“Making the playoffs is unlikely without the defense showing some improvement. The Cowboys desperately need pass-rushing help, and the Dolphins have a surplus at the position. Chubb, 29, is in the midst of an impressive comeback season after overcoming multiple significant injuries. He might never regain his top form, but with three sacks this season, it’s clear that he remains a quality pass rusher,” he wrote.

Could the Cowboys Look to Improve Their Pass Rush?

The question for the Dallas Cowboys will come down to what the Miami Dolphins want to do. If they continue to lose games, there isn’t much of a reason to keep a veteran presence like Chubb on the roster.

He’s dealt with some injuries in the past, including a torn ACL, which took him out for all of 2024.

However, when healthy, he’s very good and would be a big presence for the Cowboys‘ defense.

When examining if the Dolphins would move on from him, Matt Barrows of The Athletic wrote that it’s possible he could be a suitor for the San Francisco 49ers. While a different team, it’s important to hear that he could be available.

Chubb, Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins seem like they are nearing fire-sale mode. Chubb, 29, missed all of 2024 following a torn ACL (the third of his career) late in the 2023 season, but he already has three sacks this season. He’d provide a veteran presence that the 49ers will miss during Bosa’s absence,” Barrows wrote.

Cowboys Will Root for Dolphins’ Season to Flop

The Miami Dolphins‘ season is on life support. If the Dallas Cowboys want a player like Chubb or others, they need them to struggle and lose games. Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel wrote before Monday’s game that if the Dolphins continue to lose, full-on tanking could be in play.

“It’s only Week 4 so it’s too early to start talking about giving up on the season. But, yes, the Dolphins tanked in 2019 to draft quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in 2020, so it would make sense that they’d consider doing the same for his successor. But it’s way too early to think about that.

If the Dolphins reach 0-4, losing to the New York Jets on Monday night, or maybe 1-7, yes, you start to entertain such thoughts. If this season goes off the rails, it’d make sense for the Dolphins to look to the future, meaning firing general manager Chris Grier and coach Mike McDaniel as well as a change at quarterback,” he wrote.
