🔥 PATRIOTS BREAK THE CURSE: After years of struggles post-Julian Edelman, New England finally exorcises the demons with a dominating performance—record-setting plays, clutch drives, and a squad that refuses to lose. Is this the start of a new Patriots dynasty?

The Julian Edelman Guide To Working Out Like An NFL Wide Receiver - CoachUp Nation

Complaints about the Patriots’ receiving corps are nothing new, and actually go back to when Tom Brady still led the offense. It is one of the leading causes for the quarterback’s departure, especially since his final season saw the arrival and departure of Antonio Brown and an unexpected trade for Mohamed Sanu.

It was crucial that the new regime in New England addressed the group this offseason to help put Drake Maye in good position to succeed in his second year, which they appear to have accomplished to a certain degree. Stefon Diggs has been a great addition, along with the rise of Kayshon Boutte, both of whom have had back-to-back 100-yard games over the last two weeks.

That means the Patriots have finally broken a five-year streak that is almost embarrassing to admit is reality, but it couldn’t have come at a better time.

The Patriots finally have the right pieces in the wide receiver room to elevate the offense

With Boutte’s solid performance against the Steelers and Diggs’ breakout game against the Panthers this week, the Patriots have recorded their first game with receivers totaling 100+ yards in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2020 season.

Kayshon Boutte and Stefon Diggs each have an 100-yard game this season.

It marks the first time the Patriots had two WRs with 100-yard games since 2020 (Julian Edelman, Jakobi Meyers, and Damiere Byrd)

It’s a solid start to the season despite the several questions surrounding the receiving corps and whether enough was done to truly improve their production.

This was Diggs’ first 100-yard game since he joined the team and his best usage by Josh McDaniels, proving he can be the perfect weapon that fans were hoping for when he was signed in free agency, coming off an ACL injury.

Building upon that will be crucial moving forward, especially since the next team on the docket is the Bills on Sunday Night Football in Buffalo. That will be a real test to see where the Patriots’ team stands, and whether their solid showing against the Panthers was a legitimate indication of what they can be or just another easily won game against an even worse opponent.
